Green Angel

Let you love
let you wish
but do not let yourself dine upon
the golden dish

for temptation too great
and sorrow too vast
the world is already lost
the ship sinking fast

this may sound bleak
it might sound dark
But here I stand
Protecting your heart

this advice
that is what it is
take heavy
who ever doesn't may not live

cement, sticks and stones
replace pearl white clouds
steel doors, chains, locks

no ambition, no hope
When I look on the ants
as the they try not to cope

The world soon seems small
you soon seem to shrink
your at the edge
the absolute, the very brink

And so with a sad smile
Quick to settle like the morning dew
I salute and take off
