I wanted to really capture the love, comfort and partnership that Merida seems to have found in her gorgeous stallion Angus. I wanted to keep a thick and simple style to the entire picture yet with a lot of softness and contrast between the two friends.

For a start... This is amazing. The expressions on Marida and Angus's faces are very touching and heart warming. The background color comes together beautifully with Marida's hair. The simplicity in this is very good, anything flashy or bright would've taken away from the over all meaning of the picture. Also, I have to admit, the mere mention of Angus is what made me click this. Horses are, in a word, magical. They are very faithful and that is another element that is what makes this so wonderful. I look forward to future things that have this emotional touch.
